EE bonds accidentally past maturity date- what do I do from a tax front I made a rare financial mistake in forgetting about some EE Bonds I was given over 30 years ago. Well I want to cash them , but I was told you have to pay taxes on them in the year they matured. I believe you can only amend tax return from 3 years prior, but some of these matured more than 3 years ago. What am I supposed to do? Can I still cash ...
