LPT: when visiting new parents, do NOT gift them newborn clothes, toys, flowers or potted plants We got so many clothes that I doubt it if the baby will have a chance to wear all of them before they're too small. Similarly, we ran out of flower vases in our house. And don't get me started on potted plants - I'm already struggling to keep one thing alive. Don't give me another one!
