Ended up backpacking in Thailand without a plan - we loved it and how *easy* it was. Where else can we go with good transportation and beaches? I checked some of the Destination lists in the wiki but I know a lot are 10+ years old. Going to search recent posts for other ideas we got immediately (like Costa Rice, the Philippines) July, we were going to travel to Nicaragua but pulled out last minute (2018). Went to Thailand instead. Here are some of the major pros:
