One-time/short term characters that stick in your mind? I'm rewatching Justified and in S1E4, Clarence Williams III plays a character called Mr. Jones. He's only in a few scenes in one episode but he's just very funny and sticks in your mind. Another one would be Pepper Jack from It's Always Sunny.
