How common is it for expedia-like agencies to over-book rooms? It is common knowledge that airlines overbook flights, but what about hotel rooms? We had a confirmed reservations thru expedia at a BNB and when we arrived they said they overbooked, but did offer another place to stay. No one called us ahead of time about the overbooking.
