My husband and I both have 401ks from past employers that are just sitting there. Can we combine them into one IRA, under one of our names? I've scoured the sub and the internet and can't seem to get a straight answer. I understand that spouses cannot jointly own an IRA - it has to be in one name, although the other can be a beneficiary.
